Dred Scott Case

Constitutional Rights

-The Thirteenth Amendment abolished and prohibits slavery and involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime. It was passed by the Senate on April 8, 1864, then passed by the House on January 31, 1865, and adopted on December 6, 1865. It was the first of the Reconstruction Amendments.

-The changes of the Supreme Court from what it was during the 19th century, twisting and manipulating the Constitution to support decisions such as this, to a truly upright court of law where justice can always prevail
