John Brown's Raid- Inciting Violence

- John Brown was an American Abolitionist

-His name became known in the unsuccessful raid at Harpers Ferry in 1859, he organized a  revolt by rallying slaves by seizing a United States Arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia in 1859


-His revolt failed quickly and the slaves and himself were captured


- This raid was held in Harpers Ferry virginia, this raid shows that citizens are now resigned to the fact that they must use violence in order to end slavery
